Cloud servers can now be shared and deleted

Our My Zone management panel was thoroughly updated last month. Based on customer feedback, this update also included new cloud server management functionalities, in particular, the possibility of sharing cloud server management and deleting a cloud server. Let’s focus briefly on these two functionalities in this post.

Sharing cloud server management

Cloud server management can now be shared with other users, similarly with domain and virtual server services. This is especially useful in situations where one user is the owner of the cloud server service (meaning they receive invoices for the service) but the server is actually managed by a web agency or an IT guy wanting e.g. to set up SSH users for the server or use the web console. This way, a developer can also easily check out the monitoring.

Cloud servers can now be deleted

Taking into account the feedback we have received from our users, we have added the possibility of deleting cloud server machines, if necessary. Cloud servers are different from other server services by their nature. Virtual machines are often not created for long-term use but e.g. for some shorter period of time, to execute scripts or for horizontal resource scaling as required. Considering the above you can now add and delete machines promptly via the management interface.

Finally, I would like to remind you that we are currently migrating our old platform cloud servers to the new platform. Our customers and users have also been actively involved in the development of the new platform. We will promptly add functionalities to our services based on your feedback.
